Analytical survey: “Gender and Democratization: the Case of Georgia 1991-2006”
The South Caucasus Regional Office of the Heinrich Böll Foundation has commissioned research “Gender and Democratization: the Case of Georgia” for its internal use. The study has two main goals: on the one hand, it aims to inform the future policy and programme work of the Heinrich Böll Foundation in Georgia through identifying existing gaps and needs for development intervention in the field of gender equality and on the other hand, it seeks to shed light on the uneasy interrelation between the level of gender equality and the level of democratization of the country. Accordingly, the analysis has potential to also be of external use for the foundation and other interested organizations or individuals. Download
